We are thrilled to see the Mars Theatre renewal is almost complete. Years of hard work, largely by volunteers, is coming to fruition with the grand opening planned for April 25.
Thanks to the hard work of volunteers that never gave up, the entire community will benefit from this newest star of Laurel Street. First run movies, classic movies, plays and music are some of the treats in store at the Mars. It’s an exciting time for Springfield and Effingham County.
The theatre will not only provide entertainment and art experiences, it has the potential to serve as a catalyst for downtown Springfield development. The Mars will continue to need the financial support of the community.
We encourage all to be sure and support the Mars through your attendance at events.
